Terms of Use

The rules for using scriptus.ca. Work we do for clients is covered by a separate written agreement.

01About these terms

By using scriptus.ca you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

02Information on this site

Guides, cost ranges, architecture diagrams and comparisons are general information, not professional advice or a quote for your project. Market ranges reflect our view at the time of writing and may change.

03Quotes and engagements

Sending a brief doesn’t create a contract. Any project, hosting or support work is governed by a written proposal or agreement signed by both parties, which takes precedence over these terms.

04Managed hosting

Hosting and care plans — including any uptime or response commitments — are defined in each client’s plan agreement. Nothing on this site is a service-level commitment on its own.

05Intellectual property

The site’s content, design and code belong to Scriptus unless stated otherwise. Client names, logos and screenshots are shown with permission and remain the property of their owners. Stock photography is used under its licence.

06Acceptable use

  • Don’t attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the site
  • Don’t submit spam, malicious code or false information through our forms
  • Don’t scrape or republish content without permission

07Links to other sites

We link to client sites and third-party resources for convenience. We’re not responsible for their content or practices.

08Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Scriptus isn’t liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

10Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date at the top shows the current version.
